For 2024, the Honda Passport picks up some improvements for the off-road focused TrailSport trim, as well as a style-focused Black Edition. The TrailSport's upgrades include all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels as well as retuned shocks, springs and anti-roll bars for better off-pavement performance. The Black Edition is the new range topper and adds loads of black-painted trim, including the 20-inch wheels, plus an interior with red accents. Honda also notes a larger center console as one of the sole changes across the Passport line. The new Passports will be available this fall, though pricing has not yet been announced.

JOEL STOCKSDALE: This is the 2024 Honda Passport TrailSport, and it looks a lot like the current one because it is a lot like the current one. That being said, there are a few differences throughout that make it a little bit more capable and a little bit different.
While you don't see anything on the outside, it does have retuned suspension all underneath. Specifically for the TrailSport model, it's been designed for off-road use. So the shocks, the antiroll bars, the springs, they've all been tweaked for better off-road use.
Additionally, one exterior change is the tires. Now comes with all-terrain General Grabber tires, and they're fitted to 18-inch wheels. This is a new addition over the TrailSport of yore, and it gives better traction off road and generally more capable. And that's in addition to the Passport's 8.1 inches of ground clearance.
The rest of the exterior is pretty much the same. It's a shorter version of the old Pilot. And since there's not much else to talk about on the outside, let's hop inside the new TrailSport.
So like the outside, the inside of the Passport is still pretty much the same. You've got the same wheel, dashboard, instruments, infotainment system. However, Honda proudly proclaims that you get a larger center console, specifically the storage area because the shifter and phone-charging areas are still pretty much the same. But this is quite a bit larger, and Honda says that you can stow something like a tablet or something of that nature in here as well, and it is quite deep.
Otherwise, it's pretty much the same old, same old. The TrailSport does get some lovely orange stitching as well as the embroidered logo in the headrest. That all adds to a little bit of the TrailSport's off-roading nature.
Now if TrailSport isn't quite your speed, Honda has another new special version of the Passport available. It's called the Black Edition. And as you would expect from something named the Black Edition, the exterior gets loads of black trim. Gets a black grille, blackout headlights, black mirrors, black wheels. It's got black trim all over the exterior. It also gets a unique interior which gets red stitching on the seats as well as on the steering wheel, and it gets a few extra features like ventilated seats and heated rear seats, all of which makes it a particularly luxurious and stylish version of the Honda Passport.
2024 Honda Passport in all its versions, the TrailSport and Black Edition included, will go on sale later this year. Pricing has not been announced yet, but it shouldn't be much different than it is currently. And, of course, like the current model, there will be a wide array of HPD accessories such as fender flares and different wheels to accessorize your Passport as you see fit.
